Question How to choose Article topics for a site?

    Hi,

I have two domains which are two months old and not yet promoted.

Currently, they are being run with automated content.

I prepared to stop building automated content and start building original content to it as i heard that original gives good serps and nice traffic.

so, i am planning to hire some article writer for my both sites.

But, before hiring some one to start writing articles - i need to give them the article titles, right?

I am unable to decide about what topics do i need to provide for the article writer.

Today i searched in google with the term " how to choose article titles for a site " and found few info.

One of the blog suggested that to use google adword tool and research with the required keyword.

After that depending on the analysis of the search volume with the particular keyword in the search engine,we need to choose the topics it seems.

And i have heard that it would be good,if we build a site which we have knowledge or interest in but i don't have perfect knowledge about anything.(Who knows everything)

Two niches of the sites are technology and health insurance.

    Sites are:- technology-faq.net and insurancehealthpremiums.com

So,my question is how to choose article topics for any site?

    thanks in advance!

Use Google AdWords: Keyword Tool and find moderately searched keywords that suits your niche.give 7-8 keywords and ask your content creator to create articles based on those key word..

    Hope this info helps you...

I let the artcile writers "choose the article titles" but I choose the topics.

The article title should be natural and interesting so that you get a higher ctr (click through rate)

Best tip is to first search for high quality keywords on adwords then pick long tail keywords and use in topic. Longer the topic, better for SEO

Maybe try and pyramid out your site starting with a shorter keyword title that closely matches your domain name with say 3 keywords in the article, then link this to 2nd level articles that have 4/5 keywords and later fill in the 3rd level with long tail keyword articles?

You could plan out the structure on a spreadsheet.

    For example:
    On level 1 (index.php): 1 x 3 keyword article + privacy policy etc.
    On level 2: 9 x 4/5 keyword articles
    On level 3: 106 x 5/6 keyword articles

And the site should be built gradually over the course of say a year adding 1 article every random number of days and at various times of day.

But given your high competitions site topics, you would also need to generate a lot of inbound links to support this mother-ship site.

One article per week with the structure that you have outlined should be sufficient.

The key is getting the inbound links and some deeplinks to the articles.

Another thing that can be done is to write two short articles that support a long one. Use the short ones for article marketing or on a free blog to give some juice to the long on-site article.
