If you want to generate unique article. Using a already wrote one might work. You can simply add more parts to and spin every paragraph with new words. But if you dont know anything about the topic you might just end up making a garbage sounding article I think anyways, which really isn't adding anything useful to the net.
Search for a particular topic you would like to write on, do an extensive research and analysis so that you understand the topic well. And then write it with your own thought process.
Quality and originality takes time! But one has to work diligently to combine turn around time with excellent quality which are the two pillars of writing content.
Hire a good professional article writer or write yourself and practice more and more. Writing by yourself will get a copyscape passed article for sure in my experience.
I think rewriting the entire source article is illegal. And that shouldnt violate copyscape as well since i wont have any references from the original article :D That should make is a 100 percent unique
Rewriting a single reference is indeed plagiarism. If material passes CopyScape's algorithms, it is not necessarily legal material - example: if you type a page out of a book which has no presence on the internet, it will pass CopyScape but it will not be legal.

If u are asking for automation then i could recommend some spinners but i dont think you should go for that ! we blog because we have something to say , not otherwise ! rewriting a half baked version of someones content does no good .
When it comes to creating content, it is important to be original and portray your thoughts in the best possible way. You may take references from the other posts however presenting the information in your own words is crucial. You can also check your paragraphs in Google before you check it in copyscape so in case there are any matches to any content, you will know about it.
How to make copyscape passed articles?
Write your own material instead of stealing someone elses. Works every time. :)
Matt Cutts recently talked with Eric Enge about what makes a quality site. In the interview Matt Cutts stresses the importance of "added value". An Article Rewrite that mirrors content on other websites doesn't bring anything new to the discussion. Article rewrites aren't duplicate content, but they aren't going to rank. Panda will chew the sh*t out of them. Google is looking for diversity not a search index full of parrots. So a quality article needs to provide new insight or information. Simply passing copyscape is not a quality signal.
That's more or less what I do. I look for new articles related to my main topic, post a paragraph, link to the source and then write about how it specifically relates to my area of interest.
