    What is unique content?

    Hi

First of all, i would like to say that this is a great forum!

Second, I want to ask you something.

What exactly is unique content? What does Google see as unique content?

Same sites say that you have 2 add synonyms. Some say you have to change same sentences and replace some words. Other say you have to run them through a online dictionary ...

I know one thing: Free articles do not exist. But what is the easiest way to have a unique article?

    Thanks

The easiest way to have unique content is by making it yourself. I don't know if google system think the content with same topic with another content is not unique or unique. But for me, as long you made with your own word, even it's same topic, it's already unique content.

And some people said, the method to easily get it is by rewriting excisting article, it will be unique. I'm not sure about this, but they said this is the step :

    CONTENT A
Hi guys i will inform you 6 ways to get....bla bla bla.... :
    a.
    b.
    c.
    d.
    e.
And you rewrite it become :
    I wanna share 6 way to get...bla..bla :
    e.
    c.
    d.
    a.
    b.
Of course point per point (ab/c/d/e) is rewriten also a bit.

So, do you think it's become unique already? I just tell what people said, but i don't want to take a risk.

Who says this? Because I'd like to run them through. Since when did "unique" mean you change around a couple of words?

Free articles do exist, in the thousands. They're just free for everybody else too. :P As for the easiest way to get unique content:
write it yourself (or hire someone)

    <rant>
It really amazes me how people can rant and rave about "creating unique content" when at least half of the blogs I read all talk about the same thing. Unique has a bunch of definitions, being:

having no like or equal; unparalleled; incomparable

existing as the only one or as the sole example; single; solitary in type or characteristics

limited in occurrence to a given class, situation, or area

None of them say "changing around a couple of words to fool a search engine."</rant>

Moving on...what is unique content? It's fresh, original, well thought out, and helpful to people. Information that goes above and beyond "tips."

  4. To keep it short and sweet people say that anything that passes Copyscape is unique.

Yes, that might be unique in the sense that no one else uses those exact words, but is it really unique?

I mean, surely a unique article is one that uses either a new idea? Or at the very least presents that idea in a unique way?

I think all ideas are taken...well almost.

So basically if you pass CopyScape the content is 'unique'.

Sorry, but no. There's no way on earth that every possible article has been written. There's always change (even more so in recent times), and there's always an opportunity to put your own twist on an old idea.

Like what Simon said, there are always new ways to improve on an idea. I once wrote a post entitled "why bloggers are like rugs" and "why bloggers are like pregnant women." You can innovate and combine concepts in new and compelling ways, an devents are always happening. You just gotta know how to work an idea.

I feel like I said it many times before, but what makes an article unique is the way you write it! Actually, almost anything you write and that you seriously care about will be unique.

Style is extremely important. No two writers sound the same (unless you're copying content!!!) and so you're unique just in your writing style.
