Well about to setup a new site and I'd like to build a database of images (logos + artwork etc) and articles (about images) that can be searched by: name of contributor, title of work, date work was created, author of article, title of article, title of the image being discussed in article, and date article was written.

I was thinking about using MySQL and PHP but was wondering if there was a better way to do this. Nothing against MySQL or PHP but I'm worried they might now be the most suitable tools.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
