How to make a directory ?

Auto-approved: The admin does not have to approve your link, it gets approved automatically.

Pending: The link is submitted into the system, and the admin can either approve it or deny it.

PR: This is a short abbreviation for PageRank. It is a number/score that google gives out to pages. It sometimes help pages rank well on the search engines as well (?).

I did not quite get your question "what is the basis of improving your project site". Maybe you can re-phrase it?

Here is a list of directories that are organized from high PR to low PR. These sites have administrators that actually approve or deny links. Some administrators make a directory and forget about, and in the end you see 50,000 pending links.

"Auto-approve" is a death sentence for PR. Google assumes the directory is junk, and they'll be right.

If you want a quality directory you'll need to invest the time editing submissions and deleting the junk. If your directory is free the time needed will be massive and most of the submissions you get will be junk. Nobody is going to spam you to death if it dings their PP account every time they hit send, but they'll spam free directories indefinitely.

That said, nobody will pay to get into a new/empty directory. You need to seed the directory with some decent data rather than relying entirely on submissions, and you need to promote it once it has something in it.

Bottom line there is no free lunch in building a directory... it requires effort.

Roger Montti's blog post Directories with a Kick Me Sign on Their Backs is a good list of things not to do when building a directory. :)

phpld is the best free directory script in my opinion
but it will take a long time to set one up.

When I make a large amount of directories at once, I usually outsource the installation work.

if anyone need setup service then i am always here :P

First, submit your new directory to the innumerable lists of directories across the web.

Then, it's much like link building for other sites. Submit articles to the article directories, do guest blogging or convince bloggers to write about your directory, link to the directory from your other sites or from pages you build on "Web 2.0" sites, etc... etc...

use phplinkdirectory script which is known as best web directory script and readme guide. I am quiet good in making any kind of website you can shoot me pm if need any help.
