How to have my site listed in DMOZ?

Just wanted to ask you guys to help me and other people of how to get our sites listed in DMOZ. Any advice or anything to share will be highly appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

I have few sites there. I simply suggested them and they accepted... Probably is up to section moderator what will he accept and will not...

Have you considered bribing someone at DMOZ? I think that would work.

Now seriously: I think that good site and post it to the right category, gets the listing.

I don't think DMOZ is a big deal. I have submitted my website for 6 months now and not approved yet. What I suggest is, submit your site to DMOZ and go ahead with rest of your Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Don't bother a lot about DMOZ, it's proven that it doesn't help anything for search engines and that it doesn't bring a lot of traffic. Just see DMOZ as a regular directory and submit your website without waiting and waiting till it gets approved

    Agreed.

Directories don't get much traffic to any site. They are just a good way to get some back links but if you want to get traffic don't think directories would give you thousands of visitors. DMOZ isn't a biggie as far as I think (Most of you would agree with me on this I guess).

In fact DMOZ is one of the biggest directories I know, that's why they have such a long waiting list (I think ) and as their Alexa is 2K, I think they should get good amount of traffic too daily... But we have the same point of view....

I don't even understand why people put time in DMOZ, have you watched the frontpage? I mean.. is it so difficult to create something nice?

NOOOOOOOOOO! I knew someone would ask me, now I'll need to move my lazy ass and search for the blog post from that webmaster who said that...

Give me 7 days, and I'll try to give you the link, but I'll need some time to find it (I'm reading so many great-webmaster blogs these days that's it's difficult to handle all that content)
