Being a directory owner I don't see any problem with this; what's the difference between typing and having some script to fill the fields for you?

True. But I have seen some directory owners complaining about script users. Maybe they are just weird... lol

Coming back to the topic, Yes people submit them manually. Being in India and knowing a few people who do it, I can give u an idea about its done(atleast by the people whom I know). A friend of mine from New Delhi(capital of India) does directory submissions, social bookmarking, SEO sort of jobs and is well renowned at DP(lets leave his identity apart). He has setup an office with around 10 emplyees. He pay them around 2500 INR to 4000 INR per month depending on the job they do. They work 12 noon to 5PM. So, at maximum his expense is 40000 INR thats around $1000. So if he gets 20 orders at $100 per job, he is already making a profit of $1000 per month.

Now, 2500-4000 INR is not that big a amount but then, these guys who work 5 hours a day from him are mainly students who utilise their free time to earn some bucks.

That's about one guy whom i know, there must be many more people doing it the different way. But still 1 Euro a day for spending your whole day on computer? That dont make sense.

Its not an impossible job if u are in India and u can afford the rent lol

Yeah I think some people in Indonesia also do the same thing, however instead of renting an office space, they simply use their garage or dormitory room (there are thousand of them) so the expense can be cut to minimum.

Today's the currency exchange $1,- = Rp.11.000,-

just for comparison, a MacDonald package cost around Rp.20.000,- after tax so it's less than $2,-

The reason of asking low prices is the price war starts between the service providers. The reason why Indian or Chinese people do it for low price is because of the cheap labor of the country.

$1 = 51.65 INR and the poverty level is very high in India and other neighbor countries so, I believe they do it manually. Some of them use software as well but that just doesn't work well...

Once you have a large numbers of clients, it does become more profitable.
