    Yahoo Directory Worths It?

Just wondering if I get a link on Yahoo Directory, would that affect my PR or Traffic? You guys have one on there?

A friend of mine got his site listed over there his site got PR5 (I believe he did no SEO for that site). Also other pages of the website go PR4. Is this because of Yahoo Directory link?

What are your thoughts about Yahoo Directory?

I haven't used Yahoo directory. But I think it can send quality traffic to your site.

To be honest, my friend gets minimum to no traffic from Yahoo. I have looked into his Google Analytic.
Also its expensive. But if I remember well, someone on another forum was selling one link for $49 and he got banned. Otherwise I would have listed mine over there

If it doesn't bring traffic, it is worthless to me. Thanks for pointing that out. I was just planning to list all my sites there. Thanks man, you saved my money.

I have one of my site listed in yahoo directory and I almost get zero traffic from it (my site's niche is distance learning). I'm not sure that could be the reason for zero traffic from it. Other than that I think it's only good for a back link.

I think that if you're going to go the paid directory route, BoTW is a lot better deal.

Another option is to look through the category where you want to be listed...and then pick up any domain names that are listed but registerable and then redirect those domains to your site.

For Google rankings, a Yahoo directory listing will help you get in Google's good graces, be a more trusted site.

I see. That site looks good and the fees are not so high. Any ideas how much traffic I would get from this? If any?

I think most directories are better for link value than for direct traffic.
