I'm curious myself why the heck on earth they are allowing this. That's simply (I'd call) stupid. Everyone has policy about multiple accounts and I never knew Godaddy doesn't. That simply amazes me.

They are probably very aware of it. They also know that many of these $.99 domains will be renewed sooner or later and thats where they make the profit.

They will have to wait 1 year before they make any profit. And more probably most of the people will move the domains to another host where they can manage all of them under one account (I would atleast do this). So they have less chances to make more money from this investment.

Still they activate auto-renewal, etc, etc on domains, which means that before you notice they have their share back. ;)

I am certain they are not losing a dime as I am sure they are not selling for less then they can buy them. Also some of these coupons come from other companies I know CJ offers coupons under there own accounts. They get a rock bottom price for the domains and then offer a promo coupon and cover the extra to help promote new sites or services. With some luck this was a godaddy coupon made from Godaddy and not some small website trying to promote a product.

Take name.com and the .25 cn's they were selling the rep said that promo costed them money as they were buying them at .50 ea and then covering tachnical support for regstration issues. I again am certain GoDaddy know what they are doing with this promo
