I know that the DB part makes it sound like that its some database app site.. But i feel if promoted well this domain can be successful.

Make a css blog to accompany your web design blog.

A couple of kids registered a silly domain named after a big number, but they promoted it well and it looks like their little "google" site is successful.

I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.

Acronyms may give different meaning for different people. So not really a good idea to develop some blog or site until and unless it is easy to speak, easy to remember, catchy and above all, if promoted well.

your domain seems fine to me..just go ahead and provide fantastic content..your domain is short, the acronym part may not work because many people don't know jawdb stands for Just Another Web Design Blog(I didnt know)..but don't worry much abt the acronym part..its what you write that matters.

a good acronym domain will be something like: ROFL, LMAO, STFU, OMFG etc..
