"techi" should be "techie" or "techy". I think the typeins for "techi" would end up in the wrong destination.

techbay would get sued by eBay as soon as it became popular.

Why? I thought 'bay' was an official English word. So if I make PornBay.Com, I see no reason why eBay would sue me for that

If I would have a site named aBay, or iBay, than I understand they want to get it down (for sure if it's an auction site )

My vote goes for topbits.com.

'techultimatum.com' sounds as the most authoritative to me. I also like it better because of the word 'tech' in it.

how can they sue you. bay is generic word. like search, chair, thing or something.

only if some techbay company exists then they can sue you...

I like techsentials.com and topbits.com. Techtown.com is also good if you can grab it.

The U.N.'s WIPO group has been confiscating domain names that are just vaguely similar to trademarks. For example, they confiscated "gotpimpdaddy.com" and handed it over to GoDaddy.

eBay has yet to file a claim against a domain owner using just the "bay" part of "eBay", but if they decided to do so the U.N. would very likely grant their request. This would destroy all the investment put into techbay.com.

It's just a risk I'm not willing to take.

Especially when you have some good alternatives to techbay.com.

But I think U.N. is going too far when confiscating domains like gotpimpdaddy.com. It just has nothing to do with GoDaddy.
