To my surprise, I found this mail in my inbox today:
While I haven't had success on Bido, I found their domain auction innovative, some people made good money there. I hope the owners and investors will continue on something bigger and better. As many of you have heard already, Bido has closed. We will no longer be open for business. All existing transactions will be gracefully finalized and accounts paid out........
Bido.com was pure crap imho, at least after they've moved to that "we accept all useless domains" schema.
I sent some keyword domains that were not accepted or didn't sell. On the other hand, there were domains listed that (imho) weren't worth regfee.
Maybe they should have stuck with higher quality domains but on the other hand they created some liquidity in the domain market.
Rick Latona is now having his one day auction domains; a bit similar to bido although I think many of these names are higher valued. Some names I wouldn't pay regfee for but then, who am I.
It was odd to see them try so hard for such a short length of time.

The one day one domain thing could never have worked! However, I was a Bido fan...got some real good domains from there and dont regret a second!
