The owner can easily get some good cash by selling it to them (MS).

Not really I'm guessing Bing is a trademarked name which means it is worth almost nothing because Microsoft could just lay a complaint with WIPO and then the domain is worthless as far as I know.

The domain isn't worth a lot indeed. Microsoft could easily take over the domain name, but they probably don't think it's worth to take it over either
