Discount Domain Club, feature of GoDaddy, is really useful and worth?

For $89.99/yr, you get discount prices on domains:

• .com $11.62
• .info $10.87
• .net $13.16
• .org $15.17

You also get to put GoDaddy ads on your parked pages and get to buy domains via GoDaddy Auctions and the GoDaddy Domain Buy Service.

GoDaddy Auctions can be OK, but it's only $4.99/yr to buy separately. The Domain Buy Service is a ripoff.

GoDaddy's UI is so annoying that I don't buy domains there.

But with coupons (which are always available) the prices are a lot cheaper than that anyway...

I find Namecheap to be a much better domain register,alone the control panel interface are worth the switch not to mention free WHOIS protection and a SSL certificate with every domain registration.

There are some decent domains that go through Godaddy's domain auctions, so it is worth the $4.99 a year that they charge for the service.

I did have someone use their domain buy service to buy a domain I owned at another registrar, so I guess it was a good value or piece of mind for them.
