Thread: Domain for a Script Site

I have recently bought a domain name Scriptsplazza.com because I wanted to open a clone script directory like clonestop.com. I did not look at anything before buying this domain. I was mizing and matching some words and found that the domain was available and registered it straightaway. But today I just came across a site ScriptPlazza which is 95% similar to my domain name Scriptsplazza and it too is a clone script directory. Will I be in a problem if I open up the script directory in my domain since I have already bought the directory script for this site. Is there any solution to this problem. Please help

I don't think their name is trademarked, so in fact you can just do what you wanted to do, but keep in mind that you'll be losing a lot of traffic because of wrong type-ins plus Google loves the other site more because it's older and more active already etc so it's going to be a tough time I guess

Thanks Aquarezz thanks for your opinion and advise. I am really not worried about losing traffic, I am worried about the copyright issues that may arise. Never the less, I am waiting for opinions from other members too, I really do not want to take a chance

scriptplazza.com is registered to an address in Romania. I don't have any idea how to do a Romanian Trademark search.

I don't see anything listed in the U.S. TESS System.

Solved the issue Sold the domain to the same person who owns scriptplazza.com eventhough at the same registration price (Actually 2$ more: I had bought it discounted) Now I am searching for a good enough name for my site

Actually I did use Nametumbler and also did get some good .com domains. I am registering it as soon as I find a good coupon for Name or NameCheap Reviewing all coupons for the highest discount
