I'm using leadrefs too as a tool to write endusers. It saves a lot of time but i'm still verifying all leads before I send anything. Zfbot is also helpful and in fact i think complement each other.

Guys - I'm very close to finishing the Domain Manager App. Hopefully I incorporated all the features that everybody mentioned in this thread, and I look forward to providing a download link to contributors after I complete the testing.

Finally, I completed the Domain Manager software.

The promised download of the Domain Manager is via a download link following the user guide: Domain Manager User Guide On this page, there is also a feedback form where I hope that people will submit their feedback.

The software uses the .Net framework 4, so if you are a Linux user, you may need to use Mono to run it. Not sure about the Mac.

Thanks Andy. The custom checkboxes and text fields are a great addition (was about to ask you about it) and I like the .csv export option. I'm going to enter all of my domains in it..

Been working with the app this morning.
Here are some findings (I hope you don't mind)

-When importing a csv file, it adds the domains to the existing list in DM. This may be handy at times (to add domains in bulk) but when I edit a csv file in a spreadsheet and upload, it creates duplicates.

-After deleting custom Checkbox and Textfield columns in DM and then exporting it a csv, the deleted columns are still there in the spreadsheet.

-Missing a bulk delete rows option.

-There are some built-in columns that I probably will not use. (cP/Wp for example) It would be nice to be able to delete or hide them.

-The program seems to be unable to delete Status Tags. I made a mistake and wanted to delete some.

-The 'Expiry' column doesn't sort by date, instead it seems to sort by text.

-A column "Domain Extension" with automatic extension detection would be very handy.

Again, I hope you don't mind the comments.

thanks for your comments, it's helpful to get an understanding of how people will want to use the software.

None of what you mentioned are bugs, which is a relief.

When adding domains via a csv file I was thinking that it would be a one-off event. So I should avoid replicating domains.

After deleting custom Checkbox and Textfield columns in DM and then exporting it a csv, the deleted columns are still there in the spreadsheet.

That was a design decision, so that data was not lost in error. But I can easily prevent the deleted columns appearing in the spreadsheet.

Missing a bulk delete rows option
    Good idea to add that.

There are some built-in columns that I probably will not use. (cP/Wp for example) It would be nice to be able to delete or hide them.
I should add a menu to select or remove these extra fields.

The program seems to be unable to delete Status Tags. I made a mistake and wanted to delete some.
That's right. You can only edit them. I didn't think that it was a big issue to leave unwanted entries in the drop-down list. Me being a bit lazy to code a removal option since it's tricky. I will look into it.

The 'Expiry' column doesn't sort by date, instead it seems to sort by text.
That's true (a built in feature of the grid control that I used). Maybe I can customize it so that it does sort by the actual date rather than the text. The easiest way to do this is to force the date format to be: year-month-day (otherwise it may be tricky to do).

A column "Domain Extension" with automatic extension detection would be very handy.
    Good idea.

Thanks again for the useful feedback.

p.s. You are my first tester (badge to follow
), and this is my first ever commercial release of a Windows App.

    Andy

Cool. Yes, I didn't encounter any bugs or strange behavior.

The app is something I probably would like to use, the features are good
