I know people who make $1-$5k per day simply because the domain gets a ton of traffic. If they developed those sites, they could easily increase that by five fold.

I think he parks it with parked or something else, its a common-word .com so obviously it gets a lot of type-in traffic.

How does it benefit anyone to know the name? Clearly a domain that profitable wouldn't be for sale, and at $1000 per day it is likely to be one of the higher paying four letter keywords, so anyone for a decent budget could probably duplicate this by research high paying keywords then find the owner of the domain the matches, and make an offer, but at $1000 per day you're going to be paying a fortune for domain.
