Exclamation .mx landrush! Mexico .mx TLD now available

I just saw and add on Godaddy that the .mx tld is now available to people that aren't in Mexico.

Wondering if some .mx will be vauble in the future considering that Mexico has over 100 million people and large concentrations of Mexicans in places like California and Texas.

How is the adense payout for sites in Spanish?

    It's cool, but it's expensive..

    Just $359.99/yr

That's according to Godaddy not much -- for my budget it is though

Agree, too expensive but the normal price will be around 50 $ / domain.

$359.99 a year. That's higher than the average Mexican monthy salary. There must be a way to but them is pesos.

"At present, the .MX Registry has decided not to establish a fixed registration price but rather to use a “Dutch style” process for the Landrush period. Accordingly, .MX prices will start quite high at the beginning to decrease gradually until October 31st when the price could be as low as 44 Euros."

So the current registration is a .mx landrush!

I did some research and found that .MX domain names were resrved for use by the Mexican government and other institutions. These domain names were unavailable for registration by the public.
