    Need appraisal for helikesguys.com

I know it´s a rather different domain: helikesguys.com... Any ideas if it´s worth a bit?

    Thanks!

Can you find an enduser for it? If the answer is 'no' then it may be better to drop ....unless you develop it.

I see it's a new registration; do you also buy domains in the aftermarket?

Estibot.com says it is worth $0. Valuate.com agrees.

Hi Loko. I thought it was original and that it could be interesting to try it. ))
By the way, is valuate.com or estibot.com a good indication? I have read in many forums that they don´t work. It´s my second domain bought and I am doing it to try something different. I think there´s so much repetition of commercial words out there that they simply lose meaning. I decided that I would get a catchphrase instead, but with rather common words. Yes, the purchase is recent!

I think you paid a cheap lesson, don't hand register domains until you're more experienced.

Instead, read about recent domain sales and analyze who is buying these domains. One of our users is making it easy for you here: Recent Domain Name Sales

Other sources are: DNJournal.com Year to Date Domain Sales Charts and TheDomains.com

Once you have a better feeling for domaining, you could try to buy some domains in the aftermarket via Namejet, Godaddy or Snapnames.

Personally, I believe Valuate.com and Estibot.com are not accurate for enduser sale purposes.

Yes, it was relatively cheap... Thanks so much for your opinion and the links!

Well, the url suggests a gay porn site, gay dating site, something gay.

Try unloading in forums that are adult oriented.

It is just one type of opinion. What it says is that the keyword value of the domain is worthless. Both sites estimate value based upon embedded keywords and the popularity of those keywords in searches. Prior to the startup of Google, that domain would also have been worth zip.

Any other opinion is worth just as much. Ultimately, a domain is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. It is a "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" situation. I've seen domains that I would not pay $5 for sell for over $5,000. I've also seen very good domains sell for much less than their estimated value.

It is obviously a gay-oriented domain, so the best value is going to be with a gay audience.

TopDogger... My approach is very similar than yours. I am obviously a newbie, but I think that those types of phrases are more easily remembered to be typed than buygoodgoldreplicawatches.com, which sounds so cliched and so repeated. Also, I think that necessarily new types of URLs will have to start being used. I say necessarily because there´s a limited combination of characters that can be used for URLs.
Iowadawg: yes, I had in mind gay porn. )) That sells.
