I like the .com but I like the .info as well. Probably because there are a lot more available domain names.

If your strategy is based on having an exact match domain name, then if .com is unavailable you should go with .net or .org; both extensions still receive the exact match domain name bonus by the big G.

The .info sites will rank as well as an exact match. A lot of people don't like them. But they do rank. I find the .info a good tld for a blog ot celebrity site.

I'll often go for a .net as they can be had inexpensively through some registrars like Moniker. That is provided that the .com is being cybersquatted; if there is a developed website, and ranked, on the exact keywords you want, then you may have a battle competing against them for the keywords, not to mention accidental traffic you will lose to a .com simply due to people making the mistake of using the .com extension when trying to remember a website.

One of the reasons for using a .org, as has been my experience, is that it is easier to distinguish from a .com than is a .net. I have made the mistake of putting in a .com for a .net address, but I do not do that when it is a .org.

The .org is a good one. I think that the value comes form the fact that many organizations use the name. So it gives the tld a liitle more authority and a lot more than the other tlds like the .ws, .us and .me
