Obama's Organizing for Action forgets to Register their domain

Breitbart News reports that Obama's 501(c)4 political nonprofit, Organizing For Action failed to register the corresponding domain OrganizingForAction.com as well as the major .org/.net/.us/info extensions and misspellings. OrganizingForAction.net now points to the National Rifle Association website.

Breitbart reports that Obama is furious and has filed an ICANN action to claim the domains.

Unfortunately, Obama will probably get the domains. The organization's name is trademarked.

I doubt that someone can get that domain since it is more like a generally used expression and besides, they don't try to impersonate that organization, that should anyway normally have the .org and perhaps .info

It is just one thing if someone gets to register Google.ext , iPhone.ext, etc. and a completely another thing if someone registers bottledwater.ext or whatever

Well, back in 2002 I owned newtgingrich.com but the automated system I used, dropped it because the type in traffic was less than 30 uniques a day. So who knows ...

The New York Times reports that Organizing for America is selling access to the President for $500,000.

According to the New York Times, $500,000 contributions place "donors on a national advisory board for Mr. Obama’s group and [gives them] the privilege of attending quarterly meetings with the president, along with other meetings at the White House.
