I have received an e-mail offering me to sell a valuable domain I registered a while ago. here's the content of the e-mail:

please tell me if this is secure, legitimate and risk-free. I checked their domain and it seems empty. I would appreciate your suggestions. and if I do agree to sell it, how much should I charge? a friend stated not less than $5000 USD

Well Aziz, the first thing that caught my eye was that from: xxxxxx @ yahoo.com !

Mmmmmmmm.......

Answer in a polite way and offer the domain for $5000 (if that's your price) using Escrow or Sedo to complete the transfer.

DON'T, under any circumstances accept paypal for this transaction, not even if they state it's a verified, bla bla account.

Keep us updated.

They should at least send their email from the investment company's domain. hotmail is a red flag for me.

My gess it's a scam..

Look at originating IP in the headers of the mail..

If an "respected" domaindealer want you to use this "company" to find the right price, they are scammers for sure..

Use Paypal when you want to buy things, good tool for buyers, sellers can risk getting their account frozen if a buyer is dishonest..

Appraisal scam... Same old, same old.
