Phased out domains
Can phased out domain names be renewed forever or they will stop working at the expiration date? Is .su a particular case? (nic.ru is selling .su domains (Soviet Union).
example: .tp, .yu
I belive it depends on the registar. If they do the work manauly or there's automated system for that.
Read Discussion Paper on Retiring Country Code Top-Level Domains.
ICANN made public statements in 2003 that the .su top level domain would be decommissioned, with an estimated time-frame of one year -- but the Russian domain registrar is simply ignoring ICANN.
I'd feel fairly safe with a .gs domain. The trouble over the Falklands was a fairly unique event in Argentinian history.
Ok Will, thanks :), i will try to develop my .gs then because i believe is good for SEO, i don't think .gs can be restricted like .de , .pl etc but i will create a new thread about my SEO questions.
What's the cost of a .gs and .su domain?
.gs is 25 $ at Moniker, don't know about .su
The price is a little higher than .com
