It one less piece of personal information people can collect on you. Unless you have a business license and open all your domains under your business. As for contacting the owners most have contact pages, or admin@thedomain.com emails. Also sending a email to the privacy company with a forward message will also get a email to them. Where there is a will there is a way.

Interesting. Are you sure it isn't just for the domains you are in the process of registering?

I did not see the button the last time I registered a group of domains, but I will look for it the next time. It might be hidden in all of the trash that GoDaddy throws in your face as you try to register a domain.

Like I said, they get you when you renew the domains, because you will pay for the private registrations at that time.
