Yea, I dont know I might just end up selling them and making $10 or $15 bucks. I mean The links and the site content are really not going to be related. Wont this matter?
A lot of times after a site is dropped for a few months, it will loose most of its backlinks as webmasters remove the dead links.
What Google may reset is trust and authority. If the new site has the same theme and the backlinks stay in place, the trust and authority may stay with the domain.
My luck with buying expired domains for PageRank was a bit better -- one PR3, one PR2, and one with no PR at all.
If I figure that a PR3 domain is worth $50, a PR2 domain is worth $20, and a PR0 domain is worth $0, then these domains are worth $70. Buying them at GoDaddy cost somewhere around $45-50. It seems like I have to work really hard to do better than breaking even?
I have to dump some content and links on the PR2 now.
