    Register Deleted Domains Help!

    Hey Guys,

    I need some help.

I have come across 2 different domains that have PR2 and PR3 (validated by prtool.info and prchecker.info and backlinks validated by backlinkwatch.com)

My question is, these domains are completely off topic of my niche, but they have PR already built up. If I buy these domains and then forward them to my domain, is is going to help the PR of MY site? (essentially passing the link juice)

    Thoughts?
    Thanks

No one outside of Google really knows the answer to this question.

But... for $8.81/domain, I'd say it's worth a try -- if you're reasonably certain the domains will retain their PageRank.

I'd be tempted to put up fake blogs on the sites and use them to link to all of my other sites.

Do the domains still have the backlinks pointing at them? Without the backlinks, there isn't really any PR.

Yes, one of them has like 700 or so links. But total not related to my niche. Does this matter and steve I can get them for $7.67 right now on Godaddy.

The websites has over 700 backlinks already which seems pretty amazing IMO. If you would buy the website for the PR only, I'm not sure if it's going to be good to buy it. But with 700 backlinks the domain will definitely get some traffic from time to time which is a good point though together with the PR.

If it was for me, I'd buy the domains to put a blog on them and link to a few of my own websites -- Like Will says. Just buy them to redirect them seems waste of money IMO. Better just buy some good promotion or some cheap link building services that can get you even higher pagerank and more traffic

That's one cent be link. You should be able to do something with it. How old is the domain.

These are all dropped domains. Which is the draw back, I am afraid google will reset the PR completely when the next update comes around.

    Are they dropped or expired?

I've had both expired and dropped domains which have kept their PageRank.

Will, I didnt know there was a difference.

These are domains that have expired, and I have picked them up. Usually PR3 and up.

Although a couple of them are foreign and have a lot of asian backlinks. If I just throw up a proxy site, and put up a couple links will they carry any juice? I mean it could be an expired chinese doggrooming site and now im linking to other proxy sites, does this matter? Knowing my luck it will penalize me..thats why I have not done anything yet.
