    .us domain...

    I wanted to buy few domains with .us extension..but I am from India..

    are people from outside US allowed to buy .us domains??

    Registrants of the .us tld must be US citizens, USA residents, or organizations, or a foreign entity with a presence in the United States.

    I own some .us domains for over a year now with no problem. But it probably becuase I live in Canada. lol

    You are supposed to be in the US if you are buying a .us domain but really I wouldn't recommend buying it in the first place. The domain extension is not very successful and not used much by legitimate websites. If you are looking to resell it, it won't have much value.

    All international TLDs have generally the same rules, you need to be a citizen/live in the country's TLD.

    You can buy the .mx tld

    But most of the international TLDs have the citizen/residency rule.
