What are the disadvantages of .org domains ?

There is an org domain that fits perfect for my needs.

What are the disadvantages of org domains apart from the fact that people get confused with .com versions?

Are there any adsense and affiliate limits?

Also any advantages of org domains

Other than the 1 problem that may occur (com typins) there are no disadvantages at all.

Advantages to orgs may be that people also recognize .org as a legit extension and will give it more consideration over a .info or other less respected domain extension.

Yeah for businesses, people will tend to type .com rather than .org. Why you don't buy both if available.

There is no big disadvantage as I'm aware of. If it fits your needs, I'd say go for it!

I think non-web savvy people will approve of your site more if it's a .org - My history teacher thinks that you shouldn't trust websites that don't use .edu or .org

This could be a negative for a business site. The use of the .org tld may confuse some users.
