If our current domain name provider is asking very high yearly renewal fee what could be done? Is it okay to change domain name providers? What to do for that?

You will need to contact your current domain registrar and request an EPP authentication code. You then can use a company like namecheap to transfer the domain[/url].

Name.com is also suggested if you wish to transfer your domain from your current registrar.

They provide excellent service at a cheap price..

All my domains are registered at Name.com...

I would like to do the transferring of a domain which is going to expire soon, is there any conditions like "we must do the transfer with in a certain period before expiry of the subscription date"? Or even after the expiry is it possible?

You will need to check with the company. Most likely they will not let you transfer out a name that is due to expire.
