Thread: Where to Buy Domains

Nice post Will. The second half of this conversation would be the better places to sell a domain.

I own what I believe to be a valuable domain, IamFree.com. I am currently considering selling the domain, but don't have a clue where to begin.

Who is reputable? Offer escrow? How does one find buyers?

I would love to hear from all the experts here on possible options.

I have used NAMEPROS and you get quality domains for dirt cheap prices. In case you are looking for New Domains then Godaddy is the best.

I use Sedo for bying domains.

eBay.com is also a good place to fish for bargains, especially if you're on low budget.

I wouldn't stick to one particular registrar (like Godaddy), try something like freshdrop.net to do some research.

Don't forget about Google. You might try a keyword search like this:
keyword "domain for sale"
keyword "site for sale"
keyword "website for sale"

Far as finding the real owner of a URL, even if the info is private it's generally a speed bump, not a barricade.

Great idea, hadn't thought about that.

Might even set up a Google alert for that, as well.
