    Where to Buy Domains

I am looking hard for a domain, so I thought I would start a thread about where to shop for domains.

I am not an expert in this field, so I would love to hear what other people here have to say.

Here are some places to look for domains.

    Brokers and Auctions

    Forums

Where else would you look to buy existing domains and premium domains?

How could the sites listed above be categorized better?

Sometimes, I buy them on DigitalPoint... some people just have a sick low price for a very good domain...
Once bought, I sell it on quality private webmaster forums for much bigger prices

If you like a certain domain you can also email the owner and ask the price. I use dnforum mostly.

Emailing the owner of the domain you like works the best. Some times you can get a good bargain.

I used to buy domains at godaddy.com. They are pretty reasonable.

I usually use forums to buy domains. I have never tried such sites like Sedo

Will have you looked at godaddy auctions? I know I have grabbed some decent ones from there within my price range.

I forgot that I once had a paid account with GoDaddy's TDNAM service.

I signed up and then didn't do much domaining that year.

To buy existing or premium domain I use namepros all the time.. I find it pretty hard to buy domains in the forum for a newbie.. maybe there are too many scam/con artists...

But once you've built a good reputation in one of those forums then things are going very smooth.
