Thread: why godaddy so insecure ?

I have really bad experience with godaddy domain register.
1. Some one use my account to purchase gift card and send to another person, when i make complaint abt this, godaddy said is not their problem and they can't do anything with it.
How it solve ? when i make police report abt some one stealing my account to make illegal purchase, then they remove the purchase list.

2. After a year not login godaddy account, today i find out all my domain redirected to some forum( change dns on 28-05), how other hack my account when i don't even login for year, all domain with auto renew and lock.

anyone facing this type of problem from godaddy ?
any better domain register ?

It may not be a GoDaddy problem. It sounds like someone got your user ID and password. Perhaps you had a keylogger virus on your PC.

Make sure that you are using a secure password. It needs to be at least 10 characters long, with a mix of letters, numbers and characters.

You should feel lucky that someone has not transferred all of your domains to another account at a different registrar.

You can probably figure out who did it by looking at the WHOIS record for the forum that your domains were redirected to.

How could you NOT notice that your domains were redirected for that long?

After first incident, i din't login for almost a year (wonder when they track my account )...... btw he need some time to transfer all my domain out
really piss off, btw any solution to change all domain dns in a click ? i have plenty domain there

yes they can all be changed at one time. when in the domain manager click the option at the top to check all then click the change nameserver option at the top. For you login issue cant help. Purchase if was done using a cc then easy as a phone call to your cc company if done with paypal then unauthorized purchase actually surprised GoDaddy didnt do anything.

my unauthorized purchase is funny, some one buy gift card (not my money, not my CC, i don't know where he got money) then transfer the gift card to another person ....
I scratch my head and wonder why , finally some one told me (from DP), high possible is illegal transaction that use my account
