Thread: Will 4 letter .info's be worth something?

  1. #1

Question Will 4 letter .info's be worth something?

Do you guys think, 4 letter .info's will be worth something?
    And soon or not?

I bought some 4 letter ones for my proxies, but maybe with some Pagerank and traffic it can be worth..
Though I was thinking if it ever would be as 'special' as 4 letter .com's at the moment

Think in 10 years... 5 letter .com's will be picked too etc... so 4 letter .info's might be high valuable maybe?

    What do you guys think?

I don't believe so. I think that .info's have no more value than many of the new TLDs coming out. .com .net and .org are the only ones I would speculate on buying, unless of course the .info or .biz is high grade and a commonly used dictionary word.

    I don't think so.
Except if you have any very high quality names, or you develop those into high traffic/quality sites, I doubt renewal costs for those 5-10 years will ever be covered.

Reg fee atm, unless there's PR, traffic or whatever behind it.

Given that the .com/net/org are doing quite well, I think that LLLL.infos will be worth at least higher than current registration fee eventually. On top of that, .infos seem to be doing a bit better in Europe than say in the USA. There are quite a few businesses around here that advertise with their .info and are used quite naturally, like [keyword(s)].info or [businessname].info

Yes, and Google seems to think so as well. Remembering a post by Aaron about how his .info site and every other were even deindexed at one point.

Well it's how you make your website...
If it is a web-based proxy.. that doesn't change for 15 years.. ok it's spammy than...
But if it is a .info with REAL INFORMATION about something.. than I don't think google will remove it fast, as articles mostly change every know and than...

But yeah... I prefer .org & .com ofcourse
