Hi,
Ok here is my dumb question? Can I buy a new domain name and point it to a single post in a domain I already have?
Do you think this is a good idea of will it not be liked by google?

Should be no problem in the redirection to one page.
Personally, I would do something with the domain than redirecting.
Don't know how google would look at it, but for sure the domain would never get page rank and maybe never in the serps.
You could do it with an iframe. That creates a web page within a web page, but the new domain name would not have any actual content. You will not get it to show in the SERPs unless you add content to the new domain. Spiders can see that iframe content is not part of the domain displaying it because only the iframe code shows up in the HTML code, not the content displayed from another site.
Your best bet is not to use an iframe--just copy the source code of the page and set up separate hosting for it. If you use an iframe you won't have duplicate content issues...but I prefer to just set up a 301 Permanent Redirect from the domain to the blog post/page.
Hi,
Thanks, I was hoping to get EMD to work with a site I already have. Thinking it might drive more traffic to the site.
Somehow I think this will be more trouble then it is worth. I will just try to promote the site as is with just one domain name.

Hi,
Yes, that is what I was wanting :)
Yes, but the site will need to show in the SERPs and if the only way is to iframe it, that just seems like to much work.
I found by accident that some EMD are out there with like 12,000 searches a mo. Thought it would be a way to bring life back to a site. My thought was to send the new domain to a new page I would write that would have links to the other posts on the site on just that topic.
