In my humble opinion we don't have the intelligence to understand everything, it would be arrogant to say that we are the only intelligence in the universe.
There are a lot of things that remain unexplained like building the pyramids around the world, moving and building with hundreds of stones weighing 300 tons in 10,000 years BC and many other unexplained things.
In this kind of documentaries it all depends how you see it: Open minded or not ;)
