Don't want to play the Devil's advocate here, but this statement is true.

“Satan has been the best friend the church has ever had, as he has kept it in business all these years!”

Everything goes back to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Heaven.

In the Book of Genesis of the Hebrew Bible, chapters one through five, there are two creation narratives with two distinct perspectives. In the first, Adam and Eve (though not referenced by name) were created together in God's image and jointly given instructions to multiply and to be stewards over everything else that God had made. In the second narrative, God fashions Adam from dust and places him in the Garden of Eden where he is to have dominion over the plants and animals. God places a tree in the garden which he prohibits Adam from eating. Eve is later created from one of Adam's ribs to be Adam's companion. However, the serpent tricks Eve into eating fruit from the forbidden tree. God curses only the serpent and the ground. He prophetically tells the woman and the man what will be the consequences of their sin of disobeying God. Then he banishes the man (and presumably also the woman) from the Garden of Eden.

    Hi,

Old Testament is a little far fetched for me to believe in.

The biggest problem I have with religion is no one is right no one is wrong and no will take a stand.

I think that it is the people choice to believe or not, and no one should be forced to take a religion or other kinds of spirituality, it is a personal choice. I agree with you that no one is wrong or right, for me the real truth is peace with myself, and the feeling to do the right things.

You know fortunately everybody are different and have different feelings and emotions, which make us unique.

    Hi,

Peace of mind is good. My problem is not all denominational and nondenominational church can be right. I just can't see following something that can't commit to a belief. The word nondenominational is a joke in itself, for being nondenominational is being denominational. It is like saying that person is unpredictable, however being unpredictable is predictable. See my point.

I will not follow any church at this point in my life. I have tried different churches and I can't find any that I feel have a convection to their own belief.

Take heaven for example. When you die where do you go? Some will say you go to heaven or hell. The book of revelation has not yet happened it call for A new heaven and new earth replace the old. There is no more suffering or death. (21:1–8) It says nothing about what will happen to hell. It says that Satan is cast into the lake of burning sulfur. (20:10) What about all the rest of the souls in hell? If Jesus died for our sins, how is their even a hell?

But the biggest question I have for those that are the true believers is this. (I mean this in all kindliness so do get me wrong here.) I have not found a major church yet that every time they pray they say "Please God we want to be with you in this new heaven and new earth start the Apocalypse now! Bring on the Four Horsemen sound the Seven trumpets send us your whore for my belief is strong and I know I will be with you in the end."

Like I have mentioned earlier, people believe what they want to believe, it is not a shame to set limits for ourselves.
