Hi,

How often on most forums are the Recent Blog posts up dated?

I thought it worked off of the RSS feed meaning it should be current as I make a post right? But I see on some forums it showing 2 day old posts of mine

Due they help as backlink or not?

How often on most forums are the Recent Blog posts up dated?

The plugins tend to use either Magpie or CaRP.

If they use Magpie, the cache lifetime is set in this variable:

define('MAGPIE_CACHE_AGE', 60);

If you use Carp, the cache lifetime is set in this variable:

'cacheinterval'=>60,

Forum admins may increase the cache interval to decrease server and network loading.

Due they help as backlink or not?

They help as much as other forum links...
