Well friend,
Its up to you..what you can do your level best..If you have ability to take responsibility then you will 100% success in freelancing work. You can also get many businesses as like small organization ONLY if you dedicated with your work and ofcourse responsible.
Let me give you an example. I was looking for a writer before 6months ago and I finally found from DP. He is from CA (I cant disclose his name here). I can see him always available..One day, I told him when you take rest..He gave me amazing ans that I don't want to loose my clients as well as reputation so I always try to stay with them and about rest, I take whenever I get chance
I am still doing business with him and like his work as well as responsibility.
Hi,
What is your definition of rich?
What McDonalds are you eating at? Right Now I am only making puny 2K a mo. and I can afford a Pizza.
My big question here is what is considered a freelancer?
Why I ask this question is this. My biological father has his own PR company mostly a 1 man company. At the peak of his carrier he only had a secretary and me working for him. Ok I came in later. Just him and a secretary. He only worked when he wanted, took on only the firms/people that he wanted to handle.
I would call him a professional.
Yet today he works about 3mo. a year and drinks the other nine, and his net worth could buy a small city.
Much like the old joke.
Three Texans were talking two American and an old Jewish Texan.
The first Texan says, "My name is Roger. I own 250,000 acres. They call my place The Jolly Roger."
The second Texan says, "My name is John. I own 350,000 acres. They call my place Big John's."
They both look down at the Jewish man who says, "My name is Irving and I own only 10 acres."
Roger looks down at him and said, "10 Acres?
"Well then, what do you call it?"
"Downtown Dallas.
So is he a freelancer or a pro?

Rich is subjective. I believe that I am poor. But Obama says that I'm rich.
I picked up that say in the hood: "McDonalds kind of money". There's still places in New York where you can pick-up a slice of pizza for $1 or get a meal in a bodega for $3. If you are eating at McDonalds every day and picking up the tab for some friends or workers, you would be suprised at how much money you will spend. I guess I would say McDonalds kind of money is being able to drop $50-$100 on fast food, starbucks, etc and not have to worry about it.
Even though your father is mostly a one man company, I would say that he's a professional in that he maintains an office and secretary. The professional is someone that has the ability to manage projects and poeople. Whereas, the freelancer basically is selling their own services. The freelancer is limited in that they never can make more than they produce from their own labor.

I have a deep conviction that Barack Obama would like to steal your money and give to it dead weight who didn't earn it too. People need a cup wake the hell up.
From viewing some videos during the election, there was actually idiots had Obama make them belive he was going to pay their mortage! That exactly the kind of bull he is preaching.. Hopefully he was joking.

If you turned yourself into a professional, you could be talking about new house kind of money.
That's the sad part. Everyone is looking for a handout. The average American doesn't want to work and lives beyond their means. The US Government borrows 50 cents for every $1 it spends.

Although this is not a political topic But this might be all in the bigger plans of things. If You can manage break the backs of the population get a majority of the them being in a form of economic serfdom working every day 9-5 and getting no where. Then you can easily get majority votes in an election for preaching insane communist garbage like obama becuase you be getting all the votes from people who want handouts! Then you'll start seeing communist agendas and stuff coming out of the wood works and then the country is well on its way to serfdom.

Hi,
I feel people should not get handouts but should get hand ups only when deserving.
What as that old saying about teaching a man to fish?

Umm...can we get back to the main topic? Also, a lot of you have mentioned the word professional. According to the general consensus, professionals earn more than freelancers. My question is this:
Are freelancers and professionals considered two different things? Can someone make a living by becoming a professional freelancer.
I might consider bridge builders professional freelancers. Or mechanics. Or big-name musicians. All of these people sell services, which is what freelancers do. So the real question is:
Can you get rich from providing a service? (as opposed to a product)
