A few days ago, I was sick. I had a pretty nasty headache and a bad sore throat. I had 4 design clients to tend to, and I was totally not up to doing any work.
As a freelancer, what are you supposed to do when you have a bunch of clients but are feeling sick? I tried to budget my time between sleeping and working (which was hard because sleep is much more fun).
How do you take care of clients when you're a sick freelancer?
Give clients to friends or tell client it will take you a few days to finish their website because you want to make sure it is compatible in every browser, Vaild XHTML/CSS, and appealing to others.
:) hope that helps
Well, I would just tell the client to give me 1-2 extra days and explain the situation.
Tell them the truth. You're sick and not physically able to complete the work. Ask for an extension if possible, or refer them to someone else. You should have a TOS somewhere that outlines procedures for when you get ill. If you're not actually able to get out of bed, you shouldn't make it worse. :S

And also, almost all designers have a TOS, you should get one too.
And one more thing, as soon as you realize you cannot do the work, let the client know.
Don;t waste the clients time.
If i am sick and can't write my articles I just ask for an extra day or two.
