Digital Point is now a completely NOFOLLOW forum

Check out this announcement: No Longer A "dofollow" Site

Well, more and more forums, sites, blogs, etc. are moving to no-follow.
Cuts down on the spam, spammers, and scammers.
Plus being all no-follow helps when it comes to google.

Besides, this is not the forum to whine and gripe about DP!
Go to that thread if you feel you have to rant and rave....

I am even seeing more and more link sellers either being quiet about it or mentioning it in a way that does not sound bad, selling no-follow links.

I would be miffed if I had paid for "premium" service I guess and now had my sig links made nofollow with no warning...not that I would pay for premium membership on DP, but what's the term now "just saying"

Most of the folks who joined NB when I did, did so from either a direct invite for Will or googling something like "adult versions of DP"

    Cheers,
    James

DP can do whatever he wants with his forum. But, it's kind of lame not to display signatures to guests in addition to going "nofollow". Long time members basically have lost their signatures after they had worked hard to build the community.

According to the announcement, signatures for premium membership are "DoFollow" and displayed to guests.

Go to Shawn's 2nd post, 9:41 PM same thread, " Nah... links in premium member posts are nofollow too." Mabye sigs are do follow by only visible if logged in if you're premium but post links are not is the translation? Don't know.

It sucks. If I were shawn I would:

    1. Allow premium members to have dofollow links in both their post and signatures. If a premium member is caught spamming, his links in all posts are deleted AND premium membership fee non-refundable.
    2. Only make links in future posts nofollow but leave existing posts intact.

    Read the whole thread.
Bottom line, for me anyways, is save your money and not get the premium.
All links for non paying members are no-follow.
For premium members, only links in signature file are do follow, but only if the software does not make your sig file as spam!

Shawn explains how the forum came to be and why it is not a big deal to him to have the forum.

Like that "google 'adult version of dp'" LOL

I went back and read the whole thread. Shawn started to make more sense at post #38, 12:55 pm, "I want to have s*x with Victoria's Secret models. " I can't argue with that.

Yeah it kind of sucks. I was waiting so long for them to approve my posts, only to now find out they their forum went from do-follow to no-follow.
