This thread is to discuss physical fitness in general. Weight & resistance training, endurance, combat training, bodybuilding etc. Including the use of supplements and steroids.

My current situation is that I'm ~66KG/145 pounds, 18 years old & into both resistance and endurance training (weights, swimming) & am pursuing Krav Maga. The supplements I use are Optimum ON Whey & BSN No Xplode. I also intend to undergo full military training once I have a certain amount of money stashed away.

You can share your situation here and ask questions.

    LOL!

    OK, I'll edit where appropriate...

My current situation is that I'm ~80KG, 33 years old & into both sitting and sleeping & am pursuing $$$. The supplements I use are Beer, Whisky and a few Caipirinhas sometimes.

Now seriously, when I was 18 I used to body-build also, took extra vitamins and proteins, but then... well, life changed, and now I'm a lazy arse.

Very interesting! I've been doing tactical training (pistol, shotgun, medicine, etc...) for a few years now. I've also taken some Krav Maga.

In the past, I had studied a bit of Kenpo, Judo, Shorin Ryu, and Karate.

I know another SEO who is doing cage fighting in Scotland -- UFC type stuff. He's about your size. I saw pictures of him after his last fight; he's pretty serious.

I have a couple of web sites in this niche, Tactical Training and Tactical Calendar.

Have you tried paintball or airsoft?

I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.

Those are definitely very informative sites. Bookmarked for later reading. I haven't tried paintball seriously other than a couple of times at an arena nor airsoft. An Indian army vet recently taught me how to aim & work a glock 17 pistol correctly. I'm interested in guns and will give them more attention in due course.

    Cheers

I used to own a Glock 19, but it was stolen. Then I owned a Glock 26, but I loaned it to a friend and he's had it for about four years. I have a Glock 22 now. I think Glocks bring me bad luck.

How hard would it be for you to legally obtain a Glock as a private citizen in India?

I **think** this isn't possible as there is a ban on gun imports for civilians. As for a license itself there is typically a lot of red tape involved and it's not practical to get a license without greasing some palms. Weighing the pros & cons (overall cost, lengthy procedure and accountability) it is probably a better idea to obtain it extralegally, especially for just training purposes.

  7. I do krav maga also, recently started, didn't know it's that popular in other parts of the world (what's your level?)
Trained a bit in judo and ninjitsu before.
Also play football sometimes, go to gym (rarely).

I've also done Krav and various other martial arts. My current focus is Nippon Kan Aikido. But at my weight, it probably won't save me from any real threats, so I also have a concealed carry permit and a bunch of guns.

I mostly do endurance training. I love to run. I do yoga and pilates, and I stay away from supplements and just eat right. It seems to work well for me.

    I'm doing some body-building now.

    I'm 18/63 kgs ( 138.89 pounds ).

Most of the stuff I do is general body-building and I don't do any supplements ( eXe's been asking me to do some though ) since i'm not confident about passing out or having serious side-effects/implications from doing supplements.

I'm doing body-building just to stay fit though and I'm not at all aiming at killing or injuring anyone :P

So, I think i'm just going to keep it *normal*

    I am 13 -- and haven't weighed in a while. Before I started cycling I was late 6Xkg's.

Just this morning, I cycled over Paekakariki Hill (16km of uphill), around Pukerua Bay and back over Paekakariki Hill. That was about 80km at 35km/hr -- against the Southerly wind.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, I cycle up the Maungakotokutoku Hill a few times. That's not completely easy...

I am not taking any dietary supplements, yet. I need to find some ka-ching ($$) to purchase some from CRE Loaded 6 - Hammer Nutrition -- I will definitely need some Hammer Gel for my 200km ride, planned on the 23rd January.

I will be working out at the gym Tuesday/Thursday mornings next year, when I get to college.
