Thread: Opera

    Opera

Who here uses Opera... if not, thoughts on it?

I used it for a while last year and I thought overall it was/is an ok browser though it doesn't look great. was quite slow for me and I'm not sure whether the lack of popup windows is a good or bad thing.

Loading speed is a lot better on the new one, even though a lot of things still don't show up correct on Opera, but its a lot better than firefox I can say that, but not as good as chrome. Next on the list would be Opera IMO.

Actually, Opera has had a perfect score on the Acid tests for awhile now, meaning that anything that doesn't display properly hasn't been coded properly. It really isn't fair to blame the browser for that =\

I use Opera full time, and I must say it suits every need I have perfectly.

I don't use it, I have tried in on occasion to try certain features it has to offer but I always end up uninstalling cause Firefox is the browser for me.

Probably was my computer to be fair but the internet was still slow to load.

I'm loving Opera, I switched when FireFox was unbearably slow, and I tried Chrome, and it was good, but not as many add ons for it, so I installed Opera. I haven't looked back, I use Chrome on the second screen, and seriously, I've visually tested it, it's faster.

I've used it, didn't really like it.

  8. #8
Been using it since version 9

I think Opera is only good for a few things, otherwise I do not like them. They are not the fastest browser, and do not have the best user interface as well.

Well here is an example, quick mod tools on phpBB3.

    Firefox:

    Google Chrome:

    Opera:

Look at the difference. And comparing to 2 of the top browsers, there must be something wrong with Opera.
