Getting your site listed on Google Scholar

    Hi,

I was just talking to a friend of mine and she says she never uses Google for searches she uses Google Scholar

So Google has more then one search? I did not know this.

I wonder how many like her, use this over just plain Google?

With everyone fighting to be #1 on Google maybe are odds would be better to be fighting for #1 here?

So how do you get your site listed here?

I check my site it is not showing, and the top 10 search results are all from the same site. LOOK and see

free women's blogs - Google Scholar

Also are there other Google searches that I do not know about to try and get listed at?

That, like a few other of their search sites they have, is in beta.
    Plus it searches articles.
Great if you are a scholar, a teacher, a student, looking for articles on a particular subject.
And from what I see, you had better have a damn good article to get this google beta engine to find you.
And it does not index sites, etc.

They do have others they have in beta, plus they pull some, add some, etc.
All tweaking to get it to where they can have a particular search engine for a particular niche, etc.

They had for a bit an image search engine in beta, but I can't find it.
Was neat because it eliminated so many useless images.

That's one hell of a weird search engine Seems like it is for scientists, professors, lawyers etc. I wouldn't worry if my site wouldn't be listed there actually The normal Google is still used way much more than this one.

    Hi,

Yes, just your everyday, run of the mill, fun loving people. I guess that explains why she uses it. She has 2 Ph.D's and 8 masters.

For me it would be nice to have just one thing in my life I could be proud of instead of a bunch of failures.

I have used Google Scholar for research papers. It is a great search engine for finding scholarly articles.

I think Google Scholar only pulls articles and content from "qualified/trusted domains".
