Thread: Need help with 'Keyword Popularity' tool.

  1. Need help with 'Keyword Popularity' tool.

I was wanting to know if anyone of you knew any freeware scripts or code similar as this. Keyword Popularity

The tool they offer is nice, but I was wanting to have check multiple keywords at a given time - and preferably with the 'allintitle' option on it.

If anyone could get me started somewhere, - I'm sure alot of us would surely appreciate this.

    Thanks alot ahead!

  2. I've been using WordTracker for this task for so long that I can't remember what other tools might have that functionality.

Most of the free tools limit you to one keyword per search.

You just want to see how many results exist in Google/MSN/Yahoo for your search queries?

I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.

  3. Hi Will,

Yes just to see the number of results. BTW this is in response to Ash's post here: http://www.netbuilders.org/content-b...8.html#post200

I believe I can do this via php and curl, im just asking if there were any code readily available because i'm lazy.

Loko, i'm not sure if there's a code readily available.

We don't use the allintitle: attribute for mass drilling, we just use the number of search results.

Hmm, well you did note that you we can use the allintitle, so that's what I'm trying to do.

It's just too tedious checking on the ranking of a keyword (I don't have a wordtracker account) manually.

Regarding on the script, seems like google doesn't allow automated requests, so I guess im back to square 1.

  6. The Google search tells you how many competitors there are for a specific keyword. I think that's the wrong piece of data to focus on. I think you want to focus on how many searches there are for a specific keyword.

For that, I use WordTracker. Several of the tools listed in Tips for Keyword Research will give you (limited) WordTracker data without a WordTracker account.

None, as far as I remember, will let you look up multiple keywords concurrently.

Perhaps that's something we could build using the WordTracker API? Hmmm...
