Fello members , no incoming link can ever harm you according to google webmaster forums . Please read that! Still if the forum owner is discouraging you from posting links then please respect his opinion , its his forum after all

No incoming links can ever harm you , even if from bad neighbours , it will harm you only if you link out to bad neighbours. Google understands that a webmaster cant control links pointing towards his domain , and they wont be indexed as "for sale" or something lol.

This isn't about incoming links hurting you. This is about being manually punished by Google because you have been identified as a link seller.
