    Always save a backup!

So the other day i was editing the site that I had just brought and because i was doing very light modifications on the site I Didn't bother saving a back up and well long story short the theme or code stuffed up and now it looks like this http://www.miamibeachvacationpackages.net/
So now ill have to wait until the holidays are here to see what is wrong with it. So please learn from my mistake and always save a backup no matter what you are editing.

First of all you need to start by defining a CSS there somewhere, I don't see it anywhere in your code...

In addition to automated backups, my manual backup strategy is to make a copy of a file before I edit it.

I usually name backup files like this: filename-YYYYMMDD. If I need more than one backup, it's filename-YYYMMDD-01, filename-YYYYMMDD-02 etc...

So might be ok if you upload a new header from the holiday theme pack unless you have a copy that was zipped and sent when you bought it.

It's always a good idea to keep an offsite backup of your site as you are making changes - not to just have your only copy running the live site.

Look out for a host which may also offer backups for you, such as Rsync backups to offsite servers which you can get on request, or even better to have R1Soft backups which allow you to restore any number of files from different points in time yourself.

Always make sure that you make your OWN backups though, you can do so through either taking the files off Filezilla or taking account backups through your cPanel or DirectAdmin management panel!
