You're on the money with the raid back-up.

You probably can get a 64 GB version or hook it up with a SSD drive. But the bandwidth is going to kill you.

How about a back-up to disk or RAID 1 disk mirroring?

I already backup to disk locally (backup disk is inside the original server - not 100 % safe). What I really need is a way to backup remotely and automatically on a daily basis. Bandwidth is not an issue.

And this is where I enter the game with Online Backup, Data Backup & Remote Backup Solutions | Mozy.
You just get Mozy Unlimited it costs $4.95/month and you get unlimited storage space. Your connection speed is the limit.

Yes, and there are many other options, yet I don't trust my data to everyone.

With my host provider (´cause I have to) and with myself, that's why I prefer to keep the backups of the backups in house.

You probably need a back-up server at another location. I'm not sure if it would be worth the expense. It may be possible to run a ban-up server from home if your home internet connection is good. Mine is garbage. It only works well at night.

That's what I currently do, I have a local server to where I copy the backups, but it tends to misbehave every now and then with the schedule. I guess I need to dump XP there and install Ubuntu .
Connection is also not an issue, fortunately I have a 100 Mbit Download / 5 Mbit Upload cable connection.
