Connection is also not an issue, fortunately I have a 100 Mbit Download / 5 Mbit Upload cable connection.

Are you running the backup using back-up software?

I've used the way Shenron described in a part of my year-work for school, let's see how good is it according to my teacher. I'm going to kill him if it isn't good enough

If (s)he doesn't like that (s)he knows sh*t about practical disaster/recovery.

I just had a PC crash Luckily it was a hardware failure that caused windows to crash. So I was able to slave the hard-drive and recover the data. I had a crash last month as well. Now I have two back-up hard-drives.
