    The problem is that IP blocks are not ordered for specific countries so if the lists are not 100% accurate you may be banning other countries as well.

    These are nice tools. Blocking countries is certainly an effective way to reduce problems but jamming your .htaccess full of code is not the most efficient way to do it.
