That depends -- what is he running?
Personally, I do everything with SSH and SFTP. Does your host support those protocols?

Well, what kind of sites are you creating?

I am not creating sites, I am transferring the 50 or so sites he has on his server (I believe he is just using SSH) and transferring them to my server. I would like to have access and control over the account via cpanel and creating all of those accounts and individually uploading each site will take forver.
Any other way?
Yea, we worked out a deal where I am parting with all my proxy sites/listing sites. I have them all in the following format:
/var/www/<domain.com>/htdocs/
htdocs is the document root.
We were trying to figure out the best way to transfer them. I can use some scripts to structure them in any format.
Would something like
domain.com/
be the best? Where the document root is just domain.com?
I generally use only custom scripts on the shell to manage/add websites and not familiar with Cpanel in the aspect at all.

Ahh... if his server supports SFTP, just install something like WinSCP on your PC to download the sites.
Heck, his server probably supports FTP and you can just download the sites with an FTP client...

Hello Will,
Where would I check to see if I have SFTP enabled. This is a major draw back from the nice gooy interface of cPanel, the knowledge on solving situations like this is not there..lol
Slowly progressing..lol
Thanks for your help
I would ask your hosting company.

You have sftp there. Don't worry about the actual transfering of the files. What we need to figure out is how to set this up the best/most efficient way on Cpanel.
